Nitish is an economist working as a researcher on the issues related to trade, natural resources, resource efficiency, geopolitics and sustainable development. In related to extractive sector, he is suggesting a framework for mineral revenue management, carrying out policy analysis at different lifecycle stages of mining starting from exploration, processing of minerals and mine closure. He assists the Indian Resource Panel to address the gaps that hinder the performance of extractive sector in India. Moreover he has been asked to prepare a roadmap for Afghanistan and Myanmar for managing their extractive sector as part of the activity with DFID.  He also looks at the effect of trade restriction on the mineral sector.

Nurwachid Putrayana

Paul Sein Twa

Saw Paul Sein Twa is the executive director and co‐founder of the Karen Environmental and Social Action Network (KESAN), a community‐based grassroots organization working alongside Indigenous Karen communities in Burma. Since KESAN’s founding in 2001, he has built it into a widely‐respected organization collaborating closely with local communities to deliver practical, substantive and empowering community development solutions to large numbers of people in remote areas affected by one of the world’s longest‐running conflicts. As the leading spokesperson for KESAN and several networks of border‐based organizations including Karen Rivers Watch (KRW), Burma Environmental Working Group (BEWG) and Karen Peace Support Network (KPSN),

Paul advocates for sustainable socioeconomic development solutions. Under Paul’s direction, KESAN has become an effective force working to improve governance of Burma’s lands, waters, forests, and natural resources, while promoting community‐determined development in the context of ethnic peoples’ vision of durable peace and genuine well‐being.

Perpevina C. Tio

Perpevina has graduated in 1988 with a degree in AB Economics at the Ateneo de Davao University and in 2010 with a degree in MA Economics at the Ateneo de Davao University.
Right after graduation in college, she was hired as a databank staff in a research oriented non-government organization. She started working with Mindanawon Initiatives for Cultural Dialogue in 2001 as the coordinator of the
scholarship program for the indigenous peoples of Mindanao. Later, she became the program officer for the capacity-building program, also for the indigenous peoples. In 2007, I became a part of the research team on the mining industry and have been involved in mining research up to the present. She sit as a member of the board of trustees of Bantay Kita, a network of civil society organizations and non government organizations espousing for greater transparency and accountability in the extractive industry. Now she works for Mindanawon that is one of the founding organizations of Bantay Kita.

Pham Kien Trung

Mr. Pham Kien Trung is a lecturer at Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) with 7-year working experience. In recent years, he concentrated on the Environmental Management field, specifically Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and published several papers at International Scientific Conferences and Scientific Journals. He attended short courses about Risk Management, Quality Management (University of Applied Sciences Georg Agricola in Bochum), Green Growth (USAID, UNDP). After his research in Chiang Mai University, he focused on a comparative study on EIA, CSR between Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. He received an award from the Rector of HUMG and Dean for his excellent lecturer and research.

She also leads a project on the coal trading governance aiming to identify the loophole in the coal trading mechanism and assist a project on the land-based mining governance improvement, with focuses on the improvement of mining licensing and environmental rehabilitation. Additionally, Rizky is responsible for the financial modelling project in the Asia Pacific region as a continuation of her participation in the financial modelling workshop conducted by Open Oil, a Berlin-based consultative agency on open data and extractive sector. Her role in PWYP Indonesia is not limited to project management, but also includes network management and knowledge product development.
