Aung Phyo Kyaw is a Research & Outreach officer at Myanmar Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (MEITI)National Coordination Office under the Centre for Economic and Social Development of the Myanmar Development Resource Institute(MDRI-CESD).MEITI National Coordination Office is an MDRICESD program which facilitates a collaborative process between the government, the private sector and civil society in order to promote transparency, accountability, good governance and sustainable development in extractive sector. Prior to joining MDRI-CESD, he worked as an interim at the Nathan Associates Inc. in Arlington, Virginia, USA. Aung Phyo Kyaw received his Bachelor of Economics with honors and a Master of Economics from the Yangon Institute of Economics.

Aung Phyoe Kyaw

Aung Phyoe Kyaw graduated from Pyay University with a Major Subject in History in 2005. He established a Civil Society Organization in 2014 called "Myat Won Thit Knowledge Society". After a while, he joined MATA for its Natural Resources Governance programme. Myat Won Thit knowledge society has become part of the MATA network Since 2014.  In 2016, he was elected as Steering Committee Member in MATA by local CSOs. At the moment, he is actively involve in Multi-Stakeholders Group as an alternative MSG member of Civil Society Organization.

Aye Kyithar Swe

Aye Kyithar Swe is the Myanmar Senior Officer of NRGI. She advances the country strategy and oversees its implementation. Within the team, she leads NRGI’s work on beneficial ownership, contract transparency and open data. Her recent projects with NRGI Myanmar includes presenting NRGI’s use of open data to advocate extractive sector policy reforms in Asia at the 2017 Civic Tech Festival in Taipei, coordinating technical assistance for the management information system of the state-owned enterprise Myanmar Gems Enterprise, drafting actionable policy briefers for the Union Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and providing capacity-building trainings for the leaders of the civil society in Myanmar.

Bum Wyne

Chaw Su Khine

Chaw Su Khine is an assistant director in State Economic Enterprises Budget section of Budget Department under the Ministry of Planning and Finance. She has been working in this section since 2011. She is responsible for analysing, scrutinizing, evaluating and reporting the financial status of Myanma Timber Enterprise under the Ministry of Forest and  four State Economic Enterprises under the Ministry of Mines. At 2016, these two ministry were merged as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation. In her current position, she has a significant responsibilities for extractive industries policy-making which includes forestry and mineral sectors.

Hnin Wai Aung

Hnin Way Aung joined the Myanmar EITI Secretariat Office as an assistant director in 2015. Her duties include coordinating the EITI process, cooperating with government entities to provide data for Independent Administrator for EITI report, coordinating with Auditor General Office to get verification on EITI data, following up the responses of government agencies to the recommendations of the previous EITI report, and making sure the progress and active participation of government agencies in EITI process. She also supports the MSG chair who is the deputy minister for Ministry of Planning and Finance.

Hosana Chay

He is a program officer of Spectrum Myanmar since August 2011. Spectrum is a local Not for profit organization incepted and founded on 2007 to assist the country achieve sustainable development via constructive engagement with all the stakeholders in Myanmar. Htoo Aung

Htun Myint Aung

I Z Aung

IZ Aung serves as the Deputy Director of Human Rights and Legal Department at the Humanity Institute, the organization he joined since 2012. In concerning human right issues, he involved on advocacy during the war in Kachin State, Northern Myanmar. In serving this role, he has collaboration with number of networks documented research and cases, such as “Jade Research” and human rights violation cases from Jade Mine area a collaboration project with Transparence and Accountabilities Network for Kachin State (2016); "unheard woods" with United Human Rights group; “Who Killed Ja Seng Ing” with Civil and Political Movement Network (2014); and “Dignity Uprooted” with Human Right Action Group in Northern Myanmar (2012).

Khin Nyein Thu

Khin Nyein Thu is an assitant director in the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Myanmar. She is in charge of collecting and compiling the fiscal status of the 33 state-owned enterprises in Myanmar. She has to analyze the receipt and expenditure from the extractive industries. Her ministry is also trying to help not only to increase income from natural resources but also in conserving natural resources. Her works contributes to the Myanmar EITI report immensely.

Khin Saw Htay

Khin Saw Htay works for NRGI as a Myanmar Associate since May 2016. She has been supporting the programs in Myanmar, such as conducting research of resource governance issues, engaging with stakeholders and contributing capacity building program to government ministries, media and CSO. Prior to this assignment, she worked for the Myanmar Development Research Institute /Centre for Economic and Social Development as program coordinator for Myanmar EITI-CESD. She was taking responsibilities for liaising with the Myanmar-EITI multi-stakeholder group and organizing workshops, trainings and meetings.

Khun Myint Naing

Khun Myint Naing serves as a spokesperson as well as Project Office Coordinator at Metta Development Foundation (Loikaw). His main responsibilities is ensuring coordination among civil society organizations and different stakeholders, as well as conducting awareness raising training on various issues from land grabbing to gender-based violence. The goal of the network is to ensure that the network provide a strong platform where diverse civil society organizations in Karenni state can come together to find ways to best protect the interests of the local communities against increasing encroachment of the business sector and other interests.

Prior to his role at Loikaw, he served as a coordinator for Christian Social Service and Development Department of Kayah Baptist Association for eight years and experienced in ten-year primary education teaching. He holds Diploma of Education from University of Development National Race in Sagaing Ywar Thit Gyi (1990) and Bachelor of Arts of History from Loikaw University (2005).

Ko Ko Lwin

Ko Ko Lwin @ Joseph.is from Magway, central part of Burma which is also called dry zone. He was born in October 24, 1989. He studies in faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering department and currently working as Program Officer in SPECTRUM (Sustainable Development Knowledge Network). SPECTRUM is local non-profit organization advocating sustainable development best practices and policies to Myanmar Government, Parliaments and Civil Society groups. He has been working here in SPECTRUM for more than 2 years now. Currently he focuses on Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI), Anti-corruption, Natural Resource Management, Human Rights and Business plus Budget Transparency. He has been working through REDD+ project as one of the solutions for addressing climate change widely within the country. He has been initiated the formation of Myanmar Coalition for Transparency for effective collaboration and coordination between civil society groups and government of Myanmar for future EITI process. Most of his tasks are communication, networking, events organizing and coordinating some team members’ tasks. 

Todays, Ko Ko supports the NRGI-NRC program manager in Myanmar, monitoring developments in extractive industry governance in the region. He is also responsible for coordinating activities that build capacity and partnerships among civil society organizations and other stakeholders.

Kyaw Moe Hein

Kyaw Moe Hein serves as a Communication Officer at Myanmar EITI. He has experience more than five years in public communication, including attending local and international public committee meetings as a representative, shooting and answering questions, writing and giving press release, holding press conferences as a Master of Ceremonies and media interviews, and acting as liaison between the organization and the media. Prior to that, he served as an executive editor who has responsible to write, translate and edit news, articles or features based on media-research-data both in English and Myanmar, as well as deal with mass communication for negotiation and dialogues.

He holds certificates in various courses, such as International Relations from Yangon University, English from Yangon University of Foreign Languages, writing course from Myanmar Writers and Journalists Association, mass communication from Myanmar Egress. He was a delegate of Myanmar student for Youth Forum on Foreign Policy in India.
