Joyita is a Research Associate at the Centre for Resource Security and Development Policy in The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi. She has works on issues such as community based natural resource management (CBNRM) and natural resources revenue management. Her work involves field work, and she has traveled to a number of resource rich states in India to understand the concerns of local communities impacted by extractive industries. For a current project on natural resource revenue management, she has screened a large amount of literature on this subject and coded information on it such as intervention and outcome studied. Through this project, policy recommendations will be made for resource revenue management in politically fragile states in general, including Afghanistan and Myanmar.

Nitish Arora

Nitish is an economist working as a researcher on the issues related to trade, natural resources, resource efficiency, geopolitics and sustainable development. In related to extractive sector, he is suggesting a framework for mineral revenue management, carrying out policy analysis at different lifecycle stages of mining starting from exploration, processing of minerals and mine closure. He assists the Indian Resource Panel to address the gaps that hinder the performance of extractive sector in India. Moreover he has been asked to prepare a roadmap for Afghanistan and Myanmar for managing their extractive sector as part of the activity with DFID.  He also looks at the effect of trade restriction on the mineral sector.
