Aung Phyo Kyaw is a Research & Outreach officer at Myanmar Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (MEITI)National Coordination Office under the Centre for Economic and Social Development of the Myanmar Development Resource Institute(MDRI-CESD).MEITI National Coordination Office is an MDRICESD program which facilitates a collaborative process between the government, the private sector and civil society in order to promote transparency, accountability, good governance and sustainable development in extractive sector. Prior to joining MDRI-CESD, he worked as an interim at the Nathan Associates Inc. in Arlington, Virginia, USA. Aung Phyo Kyaw received his Bachelor of Economics with honors and a Master of Economics from the Yangon Institute of Economics.
Bona Hang is working for Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) in Cambodia as Development Program Coordinator. NPA is one of the leading organizations in the field of democratization and mine actions in Cambodia for more than twenty years. For the development program, it works to build stronger Civil Society Organizations (CSO) so that they are able to support the vulnerable people affected by land grabbing, forced eviction, social injustice and human right violations to advocate for the respect of human rights, social justice and equality in access to natural resources and transparent revenue management. Mine actions program is to clear land mines in rural area of Cambodia so that the farmers are safe in cultivating crops. He received a Master in the field of Natural Resource Management and Rural Developmentat the Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia He has more than 15-year working experience in rural development and natural resource management with three International NGOs since 1995 until now. His demonstrated skills and competencies include i) organizational development, ii) program
management and result-based management, iii) monitoring and evaluation, and iv) participatory learning and action and action research.
Chin Panhavion. He is working with Cambodians for Resource Revenue Transparency. His current position is a communications officer. He hold a bachelor degree of media management from Royal University of
PhnomPenh. Before he got selected to work with CRRT, he had experience working as freelance and intern journalist for some national and regional media outlets and volunteered researcher. Until now, he has been
working with CRRT for almost a year. Being a part of CRRT, he believe that the enhanced skill and knowledge of mine from the training will contribute to influencing advocating for transparency in revenue management from extractive industries, and will contribute to achieving CRRT’s goal and mission.
Defirentia One Muharomah was born in Bojonegoro on July 22, 1990. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2012 from the Department of International Relations Gadjah Mada University (UGM). She is the former head of research division of IMAGO (Bojonegoro Student Association @Yogyakarta). Working as short term research assistant in the Institute of Research and Community Services (LPPM) UGM, she involved actively in activities regarding research and community services. She also undertake social work on gender issues as media and public relation staff in NGO Rifka Annisa Yogyakarta. Her life experience inhabiting oil rich regency namely Bojonegoro, has
increased her concern on social economic transformation during the presence of oil exploration in her hometown. Her collaborative research with other students entitled Discussing Social Impact of Economic Globalization in Indonesia : Relations Between State, Multinational Corporation, and Local Community in Oil Exploration Area, Bojonegoro, East Java was presented at the 1st International Conference on Globalization, Governance, and Sustainability (ICGGS) for Youth Generation in ASEAN at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. Moreover, also had active in international/national conference, workshop and training. In 2013, became International Mining for Development Center (IM4DC) Alumni. Furthermore, also practical experiences as lecture and trainer in macroeconomics, microeconomics, public finance, research methodology and economic modeling subject.
Dian Anggraeni was born in Bandung, West Java Province - Indonesia. She has been working consistently in governance issues. She find out that governance subject is life calling. She likes waching movies and culinary trip.
She is now a Governance Specialist with 13 years of experience in West Java, Banten, Nangro Aceh Darussalam, West Nusa Tenggara, and Central Kalimantan as a consultant on development project for public and private sector clients. She specializes in rural community development, urban community development, capacity building, and institutional development. Miss Dian has strong capacity in working with civil society, government both executive and legislative. She is also conducting direct facilitation as trainer and facilitator.
She works in Trade Union Rights Centre ( TURC) as head of advocacy and program coordinator for 2 years. Trade unions often call for help to advocate issues related to health and safety assurance in the mining. She
interested to understand more about extractive industries. Especially about the extractive industry and the impact of social economy. It will help TURC not only to advocate in case of problems related to mining and labor , but more extensive than that will contribute to the socio-economic and employment policies in the extractive industries .
Ernesto, a survivor of the super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in Leyte Island, has a postgraduate degree in economics and business. He has several years of experience with rural communities through his research and
extension functions as a faculty member of the Visayas State University. He has presented academic papers in local, national and international conferences and has published some of these in national and international
journals and other publications. He is actively involved in civil society organizations, particularly with Bantay Kita (Revenue Watch-Philippines), Philippine Movement for Climate Justice and PH-EITI.
He is a program officer of Spectrum Myanmar since August 2011. Spectrum is a local Not for profit organization incepted and founded on 2007 to assist the country achieve sustainable development via constructive engagement with all the stakeholders in Myanmar. companies in 2010, he joined a Mindanao based Non Governmental Organization, the Foundation for Rural Enterprises & Ecology Development of Mindanao (FREEDOM), Inc. Mr. Mikin currently is the Director for Rural and Indigenous People Communities Community Development. He is the alternate representative of FREEDOM, Inc. to the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Mindanao (JCCM), Inc. He finished his studies on Marketing at San Beda College, Metro Manila.
