Our literature review shows that local knowledge is matters to translate literate knowledge general always having a gap with a real world situation. However, local knowledge is tacit and having certains obstacles to compete in contestation knowledge sphere, thereby the roles of intermediary institutions are needed to facilitate local communities having evidence based on their knowledge to negotiate with policy makers and mining corporations.
